History
In 2007 the authorities at Institute for Nuclear Problems (predecessor of National Centre for Nuclear Research), in an attempt to utilize the research potential of the Institute and the vast possibilities for industrial application of the knowledge of nuclear techniques, applied for funding of the construction of the PNT to the Regional Operational Programme for the Mazovian Voivodeship. The main advantage of this project was an access to unique research infrastructure and possibility of working with qualified employees of the Institute, as well as the fact, that there was to Science Park in the vicinity of Warsaw. Good relations with the local authorities, who supported the idea, seeing a chance for regional development, were of help as well.
The construction project of PNT was started after signing of the Contract Ref. No 8/RPO WM2007-2013/2010, regarding preparation of an individual project under Regional Operational Programme for the Mazovian Voivodeship „Budowa Parku Naukowo- Technologicznego wraz z modernizacją infrastruktury towarzyszącej ośrodka w Świerku” from Priority I Creating conditions for development of innovation potential and entrepreneurship in Mazovia, Operation 1.4 Development of business environment institutions, from 26th July 2010.
As a part of the contract we revitalized the building of the park, changing the designation from administration and production to office and research. Moreover, we fitted the labs with specialized research equipment and furnished the offices and conference rooms.
The Park started operating on 30th November 2015.
